Xbox Returns to Gamescom 2024 With Games From Blizzard Entertainment - Update
Team Xbox will be at gamescom 2024. With both Nintendo and Sony absent, Microsoft will be the only console manufacturer in Cologne. The Xbox booth will also feature Blizzard Entertainment.
Hot on the heels of the announcement that Xbox will be exhibiting at gamescom 2024 and that World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred as playable titles, Blizzard Entertainment has now announced its presence at the show. The company will join other Xbox studios at the Xbox booth.
"We are very excited to showcase Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch to our European community at gamescom," said Johanna Faries, managing director of Blizzard Entertainment. "It is wonderful to be able to travel to Cologne with some of our most talented developers to celebrate the special bond we have with players as we journey through our universes.
For World of Warcraft, the focus will be on the release of the expansion, The War Within. The global launch is scheduled for 27 August, two days after gamescom. From the Diablo franchise, the upcoming expansion Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred and Diablo Immortal will be on the show floor. Overwatch 2 will be showcased in partnership with Porsche, and the collaboration will be highlighted by a life-size D.Va statue based on the Porsche Macan electric car.
