The one-month residency for independent video game developers will take place from 02 to 29 November 2025 at Coconat in Brandenburg. The Rabbit team received 95 applications from 47 countries worldwide, representing almost 250 potential participants.

The selected teams are:
- Heden Smugglers with "Hedenite" (Berlin and Ukraine)
- Sentiment Games with "Deck of Memories" (Berlin)
- Remulla Games with "KACHIN!" (Spain)
- Sharkbomb Studios with "Crownbreakers" (Germany)
- Neonature with "Entangled Forest: the Rings of Time" (Potsdam)
- YukimiSoft with "It's Always Your Fault" (United States)

Julianne Becker - Co-founder of Coconat and initiator of the residency, and Ruth
Lemmen - Program Director of The Rabbit, are positively overwhelmed by the
submissions received: "From our little village in Brandenburg, we are building a truly global bridge for indie games. The Rabbit is about transforming the playing field - not only by giving space and time to diverse creators, but also by connecting them to our local Flämingo Startup Hub and the wider Berlin-Brandenburg ecosystem. We are incredibly proud that teams from across the world are coming here to create, collaborate, and carry this spirit forward."

The selection of 15 participants from six teams - 50% from the region
Berlin-Brandenburg - was done by a jury composed of the industry experts: Des
Gayle (Altered Gene - Studio Head, Germany), Marina Díez (Blue Backpack/btf -
Game Director & Emotional Game Designer, Berlin), Margarete Schneider (Gamecity
Hamburg - Project Manager, Hamburg), Jerome Zenker (Assemble Entertainment -
Business Development Manager & Scout, Germany) and Tobe Max Ezeogu (JuJu
Games - Game Designer, Artist & Founder, The Rabbit Ex-Alumni, Nigeria), as well
as with the support of Joni Levinkind (Happy Broccoli Games - Technical Director &
The Rabbit Ex-Alumni, Berlin). "Criteria included gender diversity as well as studio and game-play values; because of this, 60% of our participants are from under-represented genders in games, and we have invited our first teams from Ukraine and Spain," the organisers said.

During the one-month residency, the 15 game developers will be able to work on their games, grow as a team, learn from industry experts and exchange knowledge with their peers. They will also participate in Berlin's Games Ground, pitching their projects to the greater community.
