Viktor Pulz is new CEO of Travian Games

Travian Games has a new CEO: Viktor Pulz. He brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to his new position. Jörg Strathaus will also become Chief Information Officer, while COO Frederik Hammes will leave the company.

Travian Games has announced the appointment of Viktor Pulz as its new CEO, taking over the responsibilities of former COO Frederik Hammes. Hammes, former Managing Director and COO, will leave the company after twelve years. Jörg Strathaus will continue as Managing Director of Travian Games and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will also join the management of the company's subsidiary Bright Future Studios.

"Our games continue to delight millions of players around the world, and we will continue to provide them with top quality and entertaining content.

In 2011, Pulz was Head of Marketing at upjers and then founded and ran Newsslash. He is also the founder and CEO of data-driven marketing agency OGLabs Germany in October 2011 and co-founded and managed mobile games developer and publisher Crayon Games in December 2021. Crayon Games was acquired by Youre Family in 2023. Since July 2024, he has been Studio Director on a part-time basis.

Travian Games was founded in 2005 by Gerhard Müller, Siegfried Müller and Holger Miller. In 2010 and 2012, the company acquired Hamburg-based studio northworks Software and Cologne-based studio Bright Future. These studios were responsible for the games Goal United and Rail Nation. However, Travian Games is best known for the browser MMO Travian and Travian Legends. Travian Games currently employs around 150 people at its offices in Munich and Cologne, making it one of the largest games companies in Germany.
