Showing how games "outside the mainstream" are made: Daniel Budiman of Rocket Beans and Maik Reichelt of ByteRockers' have kicked off their new joint documentary series at caggtus 2026.
This weekend at caggtus Leipzig, Beans Entertainment (The Rocket Beans, RBTV) and indie publisher ByteRockers' Games have announced the launch of their partnership Indie Made. At the center of the collaborative documentation about how indie games are made are the two initiators Daniel Budiman and Maik Reichelt.
Indie Made is supposed to be a four-part mini-documentary, of which a pre-edition was filmed and sent live from caggtus with participation from studios around the Indie Ground at the event.
In it, Budiman visits indie studios, talks to development teams, and shows how games "outside the mainstream" are created. The episodes will be available individually on the Rocket Beans Gaming channel on YouTube.
The two have also announced further collaboration, an extension of them working together in the past, such as at a dedicated party during gamescom 2025.
"Byterockers’ Games will have a strong presence on Rocket Beans TV in the future. There will be joint formats, gameplay sessions, and, of course, plenty of gaming content", the partners say in a statement. A collaboration for this year's gamescom is also planned.
