According to preliminary estimates by the organisers, the Friendly Fire 9 charity stream will have raised more than 1.35 million euros for charity over the first weekend of December. Over ten million euros have been raised since the start of the format, which will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2024.

The ninth Friendly Fire charity stream took place on 2 December, and one thing is for sure: Friendly Fire 9 broke the €1 million mark. The content creators involved, including once again Eric "Gronkh" Range and the crew of Piet Smiet, on whose Twitch channels Friendly Fire is alternately broadcast, were able to celebrate this milestone during the stream using the donation counter. The actual amount raised will be much higher, however, as the proceeds from the sale of merchandising items will also be added to the total.

At the end of the stream, Lena Laaser, project manager of Friendy Fire, announced a first estimate of the total result of the 9th edition, which will be at least 1.35 million Euros in donations. "We should reach over ten million", she replied when asked how much Friendly Fire has raised since its inception. But whether or not Friendly Fire hits the ten million mark this year, the flow of donations will continue: Friendly Fire 10 is scheduled for 7 December 2024.

Friendly Fire took place for the first time in 2015 and raised around 125,000 Euros for Gaming Aid e.V., which came as a complete surprise. Encouraged by the great willingness to help, the stream has been reorganised every year and the money is donated to various organisations, including the Tafel, Deutsche Krebshilfe, Aktion Deutschland Hilft, Frauen gegen Gewalt, Deutscher Tierschutzbund, Exit Germany and many more. Since the flood disaster in the Ahr valley, one eighth of the donations have been channelled into the Friedly Fire emergency fund to enable a quick and unbureaucratic response to disasters. In 2021, "Friedly Fire 7" achieved its highest fundraising result to date, raising almost two million euros.
