Tommi Awards for Sony Interactive Entertainment, Plaion and Quantumfrog

For over 20 years, the children's software prize Tommi has been awarded to apps, educational offerings, and games. This year, Sony and Plaion were able to win the games-related categories.
As in previous years, the award ceremony took place as part of the Team Timster media magazine on the TV channel KiKa, as well as on the associated websites and in the KiKA player. What is special about the Tommi is that, after the shortlist has been drawn up, the target group selects the winner. The approximately 70 games and educational products can be tested and evaluated in 50 public libraries. This year, a total of 3,767 children were part of the children's jury.
"The German Children's Software Award Tommi is a strong symbol of participation and equal opportunities: children and young people will once again independently select the best games and digital educational offerings in 2024. It is particularly gratifying that the tests are taking place in public libraries. This means that all children really do have the opportunity to try out the offers and actively participate in the voting," says Lisa Paus. The Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth is the patron of the Tommi Children's Software Award.
This year, Sony Interactive Entertainment particularly impressed the jury. With Astro Bot, SIE won two categories, “Console” and “Youth Prize Games”. Plaion received the Tommi in the PC category for Monster Jam Showdown. The serious games studio Quantumfrog won over the jury in the education category with Little Impacts.
