Swiss indie studio Stray Fawn will launch Dungeon Clawler in Early Access on 21 November 2024. The game combines roguelike deck-building mechanics with a retro arcade classic: the claw machine. Work is also continuing on The Wandering Village.

On 21 November, Stray Fawn Studio will release Dungeon Clawler in Early Access. The game combines roguelike deckbuilder mechanics with a retro arcade classic: the Claw Machine. It is a "Roguelike Claw Machine Deckbuilder" with a twist - players build their deck and fight enemies by grabbing weapons and items from a claw machine.

The Zurich-based studio writes about the Early Access: "Our studio has a big focus on community-based development and this is already the fourth time we launch a game on Steam Early Access. All of our previous games greatly benefited from the experience. That’s why we have returned with this game to once again develop and improve it together with our players. (...) Dungeon Clawler is planned to stay in Early Access for one year or longer."

The studio is also continuing to work on The Wandering Village. The city-building simulation game on the back of a giant, wandering creature got the big "Research & Economy Update" at the beginning of November. There will be two more updates (Story Mode & Ruins Update, Onbu Update) on the way to version 1.0. "We're currently hard at work implementing the story mode and ruins biome which will be the next update after the Research & Economy one. We also feel like the game needs a bit more depth and variety related to your interactions with Onbu before the 1.0 release of the game which is currently planned for the first half of 2025," Stray Fawn Studio said.

Stray Fawn Studio is a ten-person indie game studio based in Zurich, Switzerland, founded by Micha Stettler and Philomena Schwab. Their previous projects include The Wandering Village (still in Early Access), Nimbatus, and Niche. In 2023, the studio expanded into indie game publishing and now supports other developers on their journey, such as Earth of Oryn, Flotsam and Airborne Empire.
