The Hamburg-based agency Faktor 3 is taking over communications for the entire Activision Blizzard portfolio in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (GSA) with immediate effect. The move was not entirely unexpected, as Faktor 3 also manages PR for Microsoft Xbox in the region.

With the new mandate, Faktor 3 will handle public relations for major Activision Blizzard titles such as Call of Duty and World of Warcraft across GSA. The agency announced the news today.

Until now, PR for Activision Blizzard in the GSA region was managed by Burson, the agency formed from the merger of Hill & Knowlton and Burson Cohn & Wolfe.

While the specific reasons for the agency switch were not disclosed, a clear connection can be seen: Faktor 3 has long served as Microsoft's PR agency in GSA. Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, collaboration between the business units has intensified—making the consolidation of PR representation a logical move.
