TwitchCon kicked off in Rotterdam with a range of new services for creating, distributing and monetising content. Company boss Dan Clancy presented functions such as Rewind, dual-format and 2L streaming and gift subscription promotions. The requirements for affiliate status were also adjusted.

TwitchCon in Rotterdem is the platform's event for Europe. Content creators and brand partners met last weekend to exchange experiences and initiate new business and partnerships.

TwitchCon traditionally kicks off with an opening speech with numerous innovations and announcements. Twitch was no exception in 2025. CEO Dan Clancy himself took to the stage and presented the updates that build on the community letter from the beginning of the year.

In terms of content, Twitch introduced new features such as Rewind, which allows viewers to rewind streams and then seamlessly return to the live stream. Twitch also presented vertical streaming and dual-format streaming, which will allow creators to stream simultaneously in portrait and landscape format. Both will initially be tested with a small number of channels before the functions are rolled out to all creators over the course of the year. 2K streaming was also presented, which is currently in open beta

On the subject of monetisation, Dan Clancy presented the new functions Combos and Gift Subscription Promotion. Twitch also confirmed that the requirements for achieving affiliate status have been adjusted. There have also been improvements to shared chats on mobile and the clips feed. A Mod View for Android is also being rolled out for creators and their teams, and a Twitch Moderators Club has been set up - a protected Discord area for mods to exchange ideas and network.
