XP Card and Advanzia Bank Launch Credit Card for Gamers and GenZ
In collaboration with Advanzia Bank, XP Card Technologies has launched a credit card with a points system targeted at gamers and GenZ. The company hopes that this will appeal to a market segment that has been "largely ignored by neighbouring industries".
XP Card Technologies, in partnership with Advanzia Bank, has launched a new credit card for gamers and GenZ in Germany. It allows users to collect "experience points" when making everyday purchases. With these XP, users can redeem rewards and offers in the app from Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, Fortnite, Razer, Apple, Lieferando, Zalando, Douglas, Adidas and more. In addition, the points programme allows users to receive up to 5% of the purchase amount back as cashback. "There are more gamers than football fans in Germany. This is why the gaming market is so hotly contested by game providers, but - unlike the football sector - is largely ignored by neighbouring industries," says Ludolf Ebner, CEO of XP Card.
Advanzia Bank offers an application process that does not require video identification. "The XP Card team clearly impressed us with their vision of a new loyalty system for gamers and GenZ in Europe. We see a huge market opportunity and will clearly position ourselves in this segment across Europe," said Tilman Söffker, Head Sales Business Partners at Advanzia Bank.
The company from Cyprus is also working on integrating the XP Card into the websites and purchasing processes of selected game and brand partners. This is currently only possible for invited test users, but numerous partnership discussions are underway with relevant game providers and consumer goods brands. "With two target segments of over 100 million GenZ users and 300 million gamers in Europe, XP Card is the first to position itself in a huge market. It is worth noting that 48% of this target group is female," says XP Card Technologies.
