Zwei neue Advisory Boards sollen die Organisatoren über den weiteren Ausabu der devcom beraten. Die Gremien wurden mit erfahrenen Branchenmitgliedern besetzt. Die Entwicklerkonferenz findet auch im dritten Jahr direkt vor der gamescom in Köln statt.

Die Entwicklerkonferenz devcom bekommt zwei neue Advisory Boards. Die Gremien sind mit erfahrenen Branchenmitgliedern besetzt, die helfen sollen, die inhaltliche und strategische Ausrichtung der Konferenz weiter zu verbessern. Die diesjährige devcom findet am 18. und 19. August, also direkt vor der gamescom, statt.

Wir sind sehr stolz, nicht nur eines, sondern zwei unglaublich diverse und internationale Advisory Boards an unserer Seite zu haben, mit - im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes - mehreren Jahrhunderten an akkumulierter Erfahrung in der Spieleentwicklung", wird Nico Balletta, Head of Program der devcom, in der Ankündigung zitiert.

In der Praxis wurden ein Core Advisory Board und ein Strategic Advisory Board berufen. In Ersterem sind Audrey Leprince (President and Executive Producer at The Game Bakers, Founder / President of Women in Games France), Benedikt Grindel (Managing Director Ubisoft Blue Byte), Deborah Mensah-Bonsu (Content Lead at Space Ape Games), Katya Dolgova (COO at Redhill Games), Lars Janssen (CEO Travian Games), Pawel Rohleder (Chief Technology Officer Techland), Philipp Schellbach (Co-Founder & Director of Development YAGER) und Rebecka Coutaz Studio Manager Ubisoft Annecy.

In das Strategic Advisory Board wurden Alen Ladavac (CTO Croteam), Alessandra van Otterlo (Control Magazine), Don Daglow (Technical Emmy®, 3-time Inc. 500? CEO, Sr. Director, Strategic Partnerships, The Strong & President, AIAS Foundation), Kate Edwards (CEO & Principal Consultant Geogrify), Kirk Lenke (CEO & Founder of NUKKLEAR), Marco Accordi Rickards (Journalist & Writer, Founder & Executive Director VIGAMUS Foundation), Phil Elliott (Head of Indie Publishing Square Enix Ltd.), Silvia Baraclaugh (Head of Videogames & Animation Sector at ICEX), Simay Dinc (Game Producer & Co-Founder at Recontact Digital Arts Co. / Women in Games Turkey), Susan Gold (President of Global Game Jam), Tsahi Liberman (Veteran Game Developer & Designer, Head of Marketing & BizDev for Simpool, Head of Tiltan School for Game Development & Design, International Relationship Manager for GameIS).

Die devcom findet 2019 zum dritten Mal statt. Sie trat 2017 an die Stelle der eingestellten GDC Europe.
