Kalypso Media has signed an agreement with Austrian company Play Art to distribute its physical games in German-speaking countries. The agreement is for new games.

Kalypso Media is reorganizing the distribution of its physical games in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The publisher from Worms and the Austrian company Play Art have signed a distribution agreement. The agreement covers all new Kalypso titles. The first releases under the agreement will be available in the fourth quarter. However, no specific game titles were mentioned.

Most recently, Kalypso Media relied on Plaion, one of the largest distribution partners in Europe and especially in German-speaking countries, for the distribution of its physical games. Kalypso itself did not comment on the previous partner. The company merely reaffirmed its commitment to being present in both digital and physical retail channels.

"We are very pleased to be working with Play Art, a strong partner that will help us to position our physical game productions even better in the GSA region," explains Dr. Anika Thun of Kalypso Media. "With Play Art, we have an experienced distribution partner at our side who shares our vision and is very familiar with the needs of our target groups in retail."

Wolfgang Schallert, Managing Director of Play Art adds: "Kalypso Media stands for exceptional game quality and has a loyal fan base. We are proud to take on responsibility for distribution in German-speaking countries and to begin working with such a well-respected publisher."
