Federal Minister Dorothee Bär and Bavarian Minister-President Dr Markus Söder will be among those presenting awards to the best German games and their teams on stage at the DCP 2026 (Deutscher Computerspielpreis / German Computer Game Awards). The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space is the German government ministry responsible for the games industry. The event will take place in Munich, the capital of Bavaria.

Hosts Katrin Bauerfeind and Uke Bosse will guide the audience through an evening featuring a line-up of prominent presenters. Laudators from the games industry include game designer Jennifer Pankratz; Felix Falk, Managing Director of the game association; Lars Janssen, Chairman of the Board of the game association; Hendrik Klindworth, co-founder of InnoGames; and Prof. Dr. Sabiha Ghellal, Professor of Game and Experience Design at Stuttgart Media University and chair of the DCP jury. Other presenters include reigning Miss Germany and game streamer Rosemondy, Maul Cosplay, cosplayer Keksbikini, Olympic champion Kristina Vogel, actor Sönke Möhring, and Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht. Classical pianist Louis Philippson will provide the musical accompaniment.

The awards ceremony will be streamed live from 19:30 on Twitch, YouTube, and www.deutscher-computerspielpreis.de. The pre-show will be broadcast live from the Blue Carpet at 16:30. The trio of hosts - RayaOnAir, Starletnova and comedian Maxi Gstettenbauer - will capture the nominees' initial reactions.
