Die Auktionsplattform eBay kann ab sofort in vollem Umfang auch unterwegs genutzt werden. Möglich macht dies eine Kooperation mit dem Browserentwickler Opera, der eine speziell angepasste Version von "Opera Mini" für Handys kostenlos bereitstellt.

Kunden von eBay Deutschland können die Auktionsplattform künftig auch mobil nutzen. Eine spezielle Version des Handybrowsers "Opera Mini" erlaubt es nach Angaben von Opera und eBay, an Auktionen teilzunehmen sowie eigene zu überwachen bzw. anzubieten. Die so genannte "Opera Mini ebay edition" ist kostenlos verfügbar unter mini.opera.com/ebay. Der Link kann auch per SMS (0,49 Cent) angefordert werden.
