Die 23-jährige Alison Carroll verkörpert künftig für Eidos der Spieler liebste Archäologin, Lara Croft. In der Rolle der Gamesikone wird Carroll in die Marketingmaßnahmen zu kommenden "Tomb Raider"-Veröffentlichungen integriert.

Die 23-jährige Alison Carroll ist Lara Croft. Eidos macht die Rezeptionistin aus dem Londoner Stadtteil Croydon zum neuen Gesicht der Gamesikone. Carroll, die seit ihrer frühesten Jugend Gymnastik betreibt, wird nun mit einem Überlebenstrainig bei der britischen Spezialeinheit SAS auf ihre Rolle vorbereitet.

Zudem soll die Britin im Schusswaffengebrauch unterwiesen werden und einen Crashkurs Archäologie absolvieren. Im Anschluss wird die Darstellerin in TV-Spots auftreten und in die sonstigen Marketingmaßnahmen zum kommenden "Tomb Raider: Underworld" eingebunden.
