Eidos steuert weiter unbeirrt in Richtung Gewinnzone. Auch von sinkenden Umsätzen lassen sich die Briten nicht aus der Fassung bringen.

Eidos hat im 1. Quartal des Geschäftsjahrs 2001/2002 (Ende: 30. Juni) die Unternehmensverluste erneut reduziert. Wie der britische Entwickler und Publisher jetzt mitteilte, belaufen sich die Verluste aus dem operativen Geschäft auf rund 34 Mio. Mark (ca. 17,5 Mio. Euro). Im gleichen Zeitraum des Vorjahrs schlug hier noch ein Verlust von rund 57 Mio. Mark (ca. 29 Mio. Euro) zu Buche. Einen Negativtrend erlebt Eidos indes bei den Umsätzen: Mit nur drei Neuveröffentlichungen im Quartal fielen die Nettoumsätze von 52 Mio. Mark (ca. 26,5 Mio. Euro) im Vorjahr auf rund 37,7 Mio. Mark (ca. 19 Mio. Euro).
