Brian Ward Elected as Director and Kicki Wallje-Lund Confirmed as Chairwoman
There were no major surprises in terms of personnel at the Embracer Group's 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Board of Directors was reduced to seven members as planned.
The reduction by one position had been proposed by the Nomination Committee and was expected at the AGM. As Brian Ward, CEO of Savvy Games Group, was also on the agenda to be elected as a new director, two of the previous directors, Cecilia Driving and David Gardner, left as expected. This was also in line with the Nomination Committee's proposal.
Yasmina Brihi, Bernt Ingman, Jacob Jonmyren, Cecilia Qvist, the incumbent Chairwoman Kicki Wallje-Lund and CEO Lars Wingefors were re-elected. Wallie-Lund was also re-elected as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
Overall, Embracer's AGM went as planned: The AGM resolved to adopt the income statement and the balance sheet in Embracer and the consolidated income statement and the consolidated balance sheet, and resolved that no dividend would be paid. The directors of the board and the CEO were also discharged from liability for the financial year 2023/2024.
