Almost overnight, HTC has reduced the prices of the Vive Pro 2 complete system and standalone headset across Europe and the Middle East. However, even with the discount, the four-year-old product remains far from cheap.

HTC has dropped the price of the Vive Pro 2 Full Kit by €200, bringing it down to €1,299. The bundle includes the headset, two controllers, and two base stations. The headset alone has also seen a price cut, dropping from €849 to €699. These reductions take effect immediately across Europe and the Middle East.

HTC has been facing increasing pressure in the VR/XR market, with headsets from Meta, Pico, and—on the console side—Sony Interactive Entertainment drawing more attention. However, the price drop is likely also linked to the upcoming Vive Focus Vision, which HTC unveiled in September. The new device is based on the Vive Focus 3 platform, which launched alongside the Vive Pro 2 in 2021.

Recently, HTC also made headlines for licensing its XR technology to Google on a non-exclusive basis, as well as for transferring some of its engineers to Google.
