With a change in articles, the E-Sport-Verband SH elected First Chairman Philipp Ebben into the additional position of Managing Director. He also united the role of MD for the State Center for Digitalisation and Esports in Kiel on himself.

On yesterday’s general meeting in Kiel at the State Centre for E-Sport and Digitisation (LEZ SH), the E-Sport Association Schleswig-Holstein (EVSH) changed its statutes regarding the organisation of leading personel.

An amendment to the articles of association was passed to allow the association's first chairman to also be its full-time managing director. In addition, the EVSH Managing Director usually also manages the LEZ SH in Kiel in Personal Union of the two managing positions.

With the new amendment, the First Chairman of the EVSH, Phillip Ebben, will now also lead the association forward as Managing Director. In this role, he will also be primarily responsible for the state projects LEZ SH and Regional Centres for E-Sport (REZ SH).

Ebben had previously been unanimously nominated by the Executive Board for the position of Managing Director and subsequently elected.

"I am honoured and delighted by the trust that has been placed in me. The members of the association and the Executive Board are giving me the opportunity to work with them to further develop e-sports in the land between the seas and thus consolidate Schleswig-Holstein's position as a benchmark. In my first official act, I intend to establish a practice of publishing annual transparency reports on the activities of our association. These reports are intended to ensure that it is possible to verify that the funding entrusted to us is used responsibly and in line with the funding objectives. Through this measure and the new possibilities for structuring the association, we are moving closer to what other associations that are orientated towards the common good exemplify as a sensible structure.", says Ebben.
