From 31 May to 1 June, the Holstenhallen Neumünster will host the grand finale of the 2025 E-Sports State Championships in Schleswig-Holstein. The supporting programme outside the esports matches has also grown significantly.

The Schleswig-Holstein Regional E-Sports Championships are approaching their season's climax, and everything is set to be bigger than last year. On 31 May and 1 June 2025, the best teams and individual players from Schleswig-Holstein will compete for the state championship title in five disciplines at the Holstenhallen Neumünster: League of Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, EA Sports FC and Valorant (new to the programme). A media day with open training sessions for all participants will take place on 22 May.

The event's entertainment area will grow to around 3,000 square metres in 2025, including Sim Racing (in cooperation with Nitro Concepts / Nordic Motor Show), Trading Card Game tournaments, a Pokémon Exchange (powered by Keepseven), Virtual Reality, a Free2Play area in cooperation with regional centres, Retro Gaming, Cosplay (workshops, crafting area and cosplay contest), Merchandise & Fan Items, The Quest interactive puzzle adventure and a Trainer's Area (C-licensed e-sports coaches will show how recreational sports can be part of a healthy gaming routine).

"Mark your calendars for the weekend," said Daniela Stahl, Project Manager for the State Championships and Chief Financial Officer of EVSH (E-Sport-Verband Schleswig-Holstein): "The State Championships have grown - in reach, diversity and community. It's not just about winning, it's about sharing the experience. We look forward to full halls, big emotions and lots of new faces!"

"Esports has arrived in the mainstream," says Phillip Ebben, Chairman & Managing Director of EVSH: "This final is more than just a tournament. It's a festival. Whether you come as a gamer, a cosplay fan or with your family, there's something for everyone. Schleswig-Holstein is leading the way, and we're going to show it in May."

The event partners are the Sparkassen Schleswig-Holstein, which will also have its own stand, Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH and Holstenhallen Neumünster. Last but not least, the team would like to thank the Ministry of the Interior, Housing, Municipal Affairs and Sport of the State of Schleswig-Holstein, which has supported the project conceptually and structurally from the very beginning.
