The Individual Champion 2024 of the WOW Virtual Bundesliga is Jonas Wirth. At the end of the three-day final tournament in Cologne, the SC Paderborn 07 player prevailed in the last game against Levy "levyfinn" Rieck from RB Leipzig.

Jonas "Jonny" Wirth won the VBL Grand Final by WOW and is therefore this year's German eFootball Champion among individual players in EA Sports FC 24. The SC Paderborn 07 player prevailed in the last game with a total score of 8:1 against Levy "levyfinn" Rieck from RB Leipzig. Four weeks ago, Wirth won the club championship with his club, SC Paderborn.

"The fact that I also win the individual championship after winning the VBL Club Championship is truly indescribable. Now I'm really looking forward to the World Cup and my first participation in the eChampions League. The day couldn't have gone any better", said the 18-year-old after he accepted the championship cup at Cologne's Straßenkicker Base. He secured prize money of 40,000 Euros and a qualification for the FC Pro World Championship from EA Sports, in which the best players from other national leagues and other international tournaments compete for the FC Pro World Champion title. He also receives a starting place for the UEFA eChampions League. Wirth qualified directly for the VBL Grand Final via the VBL Club Championship by WOW.

Jörg Höflich, Head of Virtual Bundesliga at DFL GmbH: "On behalf of DFL, I warmly congratulate Jonas Wirth and SC Paderborn 07 on winning the title. He played a remarkable VBL season, in which he initially won the club title with his team and has now also secured the bowl as an individual player. At the end of the season, which has given the competition an enormous boost in development, I would like to thank all participating players, clubs and partners for their commitment!"

In the VBL Grand Final, 32 players met in an offline event, having previously qualified via the VBL Club Championship and the VBL Open playoffs. The prize money pool amounted to a total of 100,000 Euros
