Micaela Mantegna, Hillary Mason, Jon Radoff and Jörg Tittel have been announced as the first speakers at the gamescom congress 2024. The main topics are "Games and Artificial Intelligence" and "Games and Democracy".

What value do games add to innovation and our social interaction? The gamescom congress in Cologne on 22 August 2024 aims to provide answers to these questions. This year's event will focus on "Games and Artificial Intelligence" and "Games and Democracy". A varied programme is guaranteed by more than 100 experts. Among them are

Argentinian lawyer and founder Micaela Mantegna will discuss the rise of generative artificial intelligence in her talk 'Braindancing in the Metaverse', addressing both ethical and legal issues.

Hillary Mason is co-founder and CEO of Hidden Door in the US. In her talk 'The Joys of AI', Mason will explore the opportunities and risks of machine learning systems and present pragmatic approaches to the technical, product and business use of artificial intelligence.

Jon Radoff, CEO of Beamable, a US-based online game development platform. His presentation will show that interactive and generative simulation for games brings us closer than ever to the fictional holodeck.

Jörg Tittel, Studio Director of RapidEyeMovers. His humanistic talk 'Overcoming Tech - Accessibility, Choice and the Human Touch' aims to build bridges and put people back at the centre of an increasingly automated society.

The gamescom congress will take place for the 16th time in 2024 as part of gamescom and is aimed at experts from a wide range of business sectors as well as culture, education, politics, science, journalism and game development.
