GermanDevDays Announces Date and Call for Papers
Stefan Marcinek, founder and CEO of Assemble Entertainment, has confirmed that GDD – GermanDevDays will return in 2025. The conference is scheduled for July, and topic submissions will be accepted until 21 March.
The exact location for GDD – GermanDevDays 2025 has yet to be determined. However, it is confirmed that the event will take place in Frankfurt on 9 and 10 July—one month earlier than in 2024, when it was held in August.
"I'm very pleased that we are able to continue GDD this year and that we are starting a little earlier again, in July," says Stefan Marcinek, who organises the event alongside his role as founder and CEO of Assemble Entertainment. "The seventh GDD will once again feature great lectures, panel discussions, and workshops. There may even be a key theme this time, making it an exciting event."
Further details will be announced in March. In the meantime, Marcinek and his team are accepting proposals for the conference until 21 March. Both individuals and teams or companies are invited to submit topics. GDD is also known for featuring unconventional subjects, so proposals can range from "serious" to "crazy." Although not yet officially announced, it is highly likely—given tradition—that the GermanDevDays Awards will return. These awards not only recognise outstanding achievements but also include the category for "the worst game."
