SimRacing Expo is planning a spin-off event in the United States in May 2026. An initial attempt to hold the event in the United States in 2025 was cancelled. Instead of Austin, the event will now take place in Charlotte, a city with a passion for motorsport.

The choice of city and date is by no means coincidental. The SimRacing Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina, is scheduled to take place from 22 to 24 May, immediately before the Coca-Cola 600 of the NASCAR Cup Series. Charlotte is also home to 17 NASCAR teams, the Haas F1 Team and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It is precisely this combination of motorsport and racing simulation that has made the SimRacing Expo such a success in Germany.

The concept with which South West Vision intends to export the SimRacing Expo event brand to the USA therefore appears to be much more mature than it was during the first attempt. The company wanted to hold an event in Austin, Texas, in spring 2025, which was then still under the ADAC SimRacing Expo brand, but ultimately had to cancel the event. In the meantime, the partnership with ADAC has been terminated.

Regardless of the US plans, SimRacing Expo will take place from 17 to 19 October at the Dortmund Exhibition Centre. The 2024 event attracted 13,600 visitors, who came to find out about what the 84 exhibitors had to offer.
