The Fourth gamescom asia Takes Shape
gamescom asia will take place in Singapore from 17 to 20 October this year. On the first two days, the business area will be open, with Shawn Layden among the speakers. Capcom has already confirmed its presence in the entertainment area.
The 4th edition of gamescom asia will take place from 17 to 20 October at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre and will feature a business and public exhibition, an industry conference and several public programmes. The event is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors and over 150 exhibitors.
The business area, with its conference programme and pitch competition, takes place from 17 to 18 October. The business conference will be headlined by Shawn Layden, who played a key role at PlayStation. He will set the tone with a fireside chat on insights and predictions for the games industry. Companies from all over the world are taking part, including Australia, China, Europe, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, the Middle East, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and the USA, as well as country pavilions from Singapore, Thailand and Spain. The pitch competition returns this year with titles such as Most Anticipated Game, Best Pitch and Best Game Design.

The gamescom asia entertainment area will be open to the public from Friday to Sunday, 18 to 20 October. Visitors "can immerse themselves in featured Areas like indies, esports, artists, cosplay, board games, retro games, and more. Dozens of indie developers will be featured in the entertainment area's expanded indie area - in partnership with Indie Wavemakers," the organisers wrote. "Stamp rallies and attractive prizes will be available for the public and the most voted indie games will eventually be in the running for the Indie Wavemakers awards, celebrated on the entertainment area Main Stage on Sunday, 20 October." Capcom is the first major publisher to confirm its participation. The GCL Group will also be returning with its game publishing unit 4Divinity and its 2024 titles. These include JDM: Japanese Drift Master, Terratech Worlds, First Dwarf and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
