With this funding of 135.000 Euros, the Bavarian Esports Association wants to implement a whole series of measures designed to help establish esports structures outside major urban areas such as Munich and Nuremberg, where such structures already exist, as announced in June. One planned measure is a roadshow in November and December, which will focus primarily on providing information.

The events are aimed at young people, but also at parents and volunteers in sports clubs, where esports structures could also be established following recognition as a non-profit organization. The specific schedule for the roadshow, which will visit the following cities and districts, is now available:

  • 14./15. November: Kolbermoor in the ​​administrative district Upper Bavaria (Mareissaal)
  • 21./22. November: Schweinfurt in the ​​administrative district Lower Franconia (Stadthalle)
  • 22. November: Hartmanshof in the ​​administrative district Middle Franconia (Gastauftritt)
  • 5./6. December: Memmingen in the ​​administrative district Swabia (Maximilian-Kolbe-Haus)
  • 12./13. December: Blaibach in the ​​administrative district Upper Palatinate (Haus des Gastes)

In addition to the purely informative roadshow, the Bavarian Esports Association, with the help and financial support of the Bavarian Ministry of Digital Affairs, will also further develops topics such as C-coach license training, which qualifies volunteers to establish local esports offerings. Online workshops and a Bavarian state championship in League of Legends are also planned. The basic details for the tournament have now been finalized. Sixty-four teams, representing over 600 Bavarian players, are expected to participate in two online qualifying tournaments. The offline final is planned to take place in Blaibach.
