On 9 June, the annual summer festival of game – the Association of the German Games Industry will take place in Berlin.

This year’s guest speaker is Federal Minister for Family Affairs Karin Prien, who had also visited gamescom last year. In addition to informal discussions, the event will also address topics such as the use of games in democracy education, since the potential of computer and video games to convey democratic values, particularly to young people, has come increasingly into political focus in recent years.

Last year, Research Minister Dorothee Bär had been guest at the game summer festival. It regularly is a stage for politicians that want to get in conversation with the industry.
