Federal Ministry funds Blankhans with one million euros and once again King Art Games
Blankhans receives funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. Slightly more than one million euros are going to Munich for the expansion of "Coreborn". King Art Games is also being supported again with around 200,000 euros.
The decentralised Hansies from Munich aka Blankhans are pleased to receive federal funding amounting to 1,073,059 euros. The funding period ends on 30 June 2024 and will be used for "Coreborn - The Liquid Meadows". The social survival game in the Ultracore universe by Hauke Gerdes is currently in Early Access. "With the Liquid Meadows, the game is expanded by another nation after players can already explore Ambros. In addition to the new nation and its inhabitants as a new playable faction, new features will also be added to the game," reads the project description. The main game "Coreborn" had not previously received BMWK funding.
King Art Games has been promised further funding. After the 2.6 million euros for the project with the working title "Tischplatte" (tabletop), the studio from Bremen will receive 197,406 euros for "Rundeisen" (round bar). In 2021, King Art also received over two million euros in federal funding, at that time from the Ministry of Transport: 2,244,028 euros were given to the project "Schießeisen", which is to be completed in June 2025, only half a year before "Tischplatte". In addition, the studio has the RPG "Wattwanderung" in the pipeline, which was also awarded prototype funding of just under 200,000 euros in 2021.
All the funding that has now been confirmed was received by the ministry before the application for federal funding was stopped. New applications cannot currently be submitted. We have collected all federal funding from 2023 in the continuously updated list.
