Microsoft sorgt für Aufsehen auf der GC. Der Grund: Der Entertainmentriese sicherte sich die Exklusivrechte an Electronic Arts "FIFA Football" und Konamis "Pro Evolution Soccer".

Die beiden Referenzfußballsimulationen, Electronic Arts' "FIFA Football" und Konamis "Pro Evolution Soccer", werden im Next-Generation-Bereich bis auf Weiteres nur auf Microsofts Xbox 360 antreten.

Auf der GC - Games Convention gab Microsoft Exklusivvereinbarungen mit den beiden Spieleherstellern bekannt. Demnach werden "FIFA 07" und "PES" für die zwölf Monate 360-exklusiv bleiben. Fans von PlayStation 3 und Nintendo Wii werden wohl oder übel auf Konkurrenzprodukte zurückgreifen müssen. Von den Vereinbarungen unberührt bleiben die Vorgängerkonsolen, auf denen die Fußballtitel nach wie vor vermarktet werden.
