Gentle Troll Expands Tavern Talk
Indie developer Gentle Troll Entertainment has announced a new DLC for its cozy visual novel Tavern Talk. The Würzburg-based company is adding a new storyline to its "very positively" received game.
On 20 June, Gentle Troll Entertainment released Tavern Talk for PC and Switch, a visual novel about running a tavern in a D&D-inspired fantasy world. The game was well received, receiving 89 per cent positive user reviews on Steam (n=853). On 12 November, the story continues with Tavern Talk: Tempest Tantrum, first on Steam and later on Switch. The first story DLC takes place a year and a half after the events of the main game and features a new character, new potions, and more than three hours of content.
Tavern Talk won the "Most Wholesome" category at the 2024 gamescom Awards. Michel Wacker, Founder, CEO & Chief Options Finder at Gentle Troll Entertainment, wrote the following on social media: "We are incredibly humbled and simply blown away by receiving this honor based on a combined vote of the jury and players. Never in my life would I have imagined to take home an award from gamescom. But sometimes even your wildest dreams are being surpassed. All the love to our families, friends and our amazing community who all got us here! Thank you for this super special moment! You rock!"
Gentle Troll Entertainment was established in 2014. They have delivered more than 20 educational games of various genres, developed in collaboration with industry clients for PC, web and mobile.
