First Press Games: "Still Moving Forward as Planned"
In reaction to Matthias Linda's lawsuit against them about delayed physical versions of Chained Echoes, First Press Games has released a statement to GamesMarkt that they intend to keep working on said game versions.
Matthias Linda, developer of Chained Echoes, recently announced a lawsuit against First Press Games (Linda/FPG)
While Matthias Linda, developer of Chained Echoes, recently announced he would seek legal measures against physical game distributor First Press Games because of delayed game editions, the distributor themselves says that “the project is still moving forward as planned”.
According to a statement provided to GamesMarkt, First Press Games intends to keep making physical copies of Chained Echoes and fulfil the production contract with Linda. They also intend to comment further on the topic in the future, saying "additional information will be shared on our blog in the coming days".
Here’s the statement from First Press Games in full:
“We sincerely apologize for any concern caused by the recent announcement from the developer.
The delays in the physical editions have been primarily due to production challenges, including shortages of certain components, which affected both manufacturing and shipping schedules. While we faced these difficulties, we have been working diligently to resolve them and fulfill all remaining orders as quickly as possible.
Please be assured that the project is still moving forward as planned. We will provide timely updates on any new developments, and additional information will be shared on our blog in the coming days.
We truly appreciate your understanding and patience during this period.”
