To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of the anti-war game This War of Mine, 11 bit studios has announced another DLC, with all proceeds going to charity partners.

11 bit studios have announced their upcoming charity DLC for This War of Mine - Forget Celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the PC launch of This War of Mine. The team is working with several charities and will be donating all of the studio's proceeds from this DLC to their charity partners War Child, Amnesty International, Liberty Ukraine Foundation and Indie Games Poland.

Through Charity DLC, the game continually raises funds for War Child, an organisation dedicated to helping children affected by war. Following Russia's attack on Ukraine in February 2022, all proceeds from one week of This War of Mine sales were donated, raising $850,000 for the Ukrainian Red Cross. "Furthermore, This War of Mine has influenced academic settings globally, offering lecturers a unique way to educate students on the harsh realities of war. It became the first video game to be officially recognized as "supplementary material" by Poland's Ministry of Education, with an educational version available for free on the government website for Polish students and teachers. Recently, the game received a Special Recognition Award from Amnesty International, honoring its role in raising awareness of international humanitarian law," 11 bit studios wrote.
