Creative Europe has just published the first new calls for the coming funding year: a total of 338 million euros will go to the cultural and creative sectors in Europe in 2025, of which 196 million euros will go to the audiovisual sector alone. The video game call has a deadline of 12 February 2025.

Creative Europe has just published the first new calls for the coming funding year: a total of 338 million euros will go to the cultural and creative sectors in Europe in 2025, of which 196 million euros will go to the audiovisual sector alone, including producers, distributors, festivals and training initiatives. A further 20 million euros will support the cross-sector area, with key topics including journalism partnerships, media literacy and creative innovation labs.

The video game call “Video Games and Immersive Content Development” has 12 February 2025 as deadline. The other topics and deadlines are:

Content Cluster: Application opportunities for producers

  • 05.12.2024 and 14.05.2025: TV and Online Content
  • 05.12.2024: European Slate Development
  • 12.02.2025: Video Games and Immersive Content Development

Audience Cluster: Distribution/Distribution, Film Festivals and Streaming Services

  • 20.03.2025 and 17.07.2025: Films on the Move
  • 27.03.2025: Audience Development and Film Education

Business Cluster: Promotion and Networking, Markets and Trade Fairs, Innovative Tools

  • 09.01.2025: Media 360
  • 16.01.2025: Innovative Tools and Business Models
  • 24.04.2025: Skills and Talents Development

The calls in the cross-sector area, such as Innovation Labs and Journalism Partnerships, are expected in October, followed by further Media calls at the beginning of December, including European Co-Development with an announced submission deadline at the end of February and European Film Distribution with a deadline in April 2025.
