NRW Funds 12 Games Projects With More Than €600,000
The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW is once again funding the local games industry with €612,900. Twelve games projects are receiving funding in this round. The three largest grants were awarded to 6side Studio, Winning Streak Games, and SparklingBit.
Twelve games projects from North Rhine-Westphalia will receive a total of €612,900 in funding. "Our funding is the fuel for the future of games in NRW. Each funded title shows how visions become reality here," explains Walid Nakschbandi, CEO of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. The next deadlines for applications are 9 May and 19 September 2025.
The following games and studios will receive funding: - €268,000 for Dawn of Defense by 6side Studio from Zülpich - €75,000 for Taktikfuchs: Eishockey by Winning Streak Games from Cologne - €70,000 for ‘JRPG_WIP’ by SparklingBit from Aachen - €42,500 for Babushka by Ziolkowski Lübeck Deutmann from Bochum - €30,000 for Pearlbound by György Droste from Cologne - €20,000 for Life by Toe Jam Games from Cologne - €20,000 for Livestream by Slow Bros. from Cologne - €20,000 for Animal Sanctuary by Juniper Alves and Janna Zimmer from Cologne - €20,000 for Der Träin by Bálint Márk from Cologne - €19,900 for Grimm's Nightmare by Pandaloop from Cologne - €15,000 for The Witchery by Bonloup from Cologne - €12,500 for Bile and Blood by Florian Wurth / Flying Blind from Bonn
