NRW funds 19 games and VR projects with 1.8 million euros
In its third round of funding, the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW is awarding a total of 1,836,500 euros to 19 games and VR projects. These include a new 3D platformer from Sluggerfly, a new game from Critical Rabbit and various serious games for mobile and VR.
The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW is awarding a total of 1,836,500 euros to 19 games and VR projects in its third session of2023. Five projects in production, eight prototypes and six concepts were funded.
In the production funding category, "Repeater Boy 64" by Sluggerfly from Essen received €300,000, "Infiltrator" by MobX from Bonn €400,000, "Fiete School - Content Package 2" by Ahoiii Entertainment from Cologne €300,000, "Mindbug Online" by Kissaki Studios from Bon €190,000 and "EMYO" by refutura from Cologne €90,000.
As part of the prototype funding programme, 80,000 euros will go to "Mobile Network Tycoon" by Yet Another Indie Game Studio from Leverkusen. In addition, "The Wake" by Playground Pigeon from Cologne will receive €80,000, "Projekt Tortuga" by Critical Rabbit, a brand of Buntspecht.Games from Cologne, €60,000, "Scout Out!" by Euro-Sino Entertainment from Cologne €60,000, "Twice" by Daniel Brüh from Bielefeld €50,000, "Rheinland" by Yet Another Indie Game Studio from Leverkusen €50,000. Rheinland" by Bunlysh Studios from Bornheim 47,000 euros, "The Coven" by Selvi & Schöneck nogame.company from Düsseldorf 40,000 euros and "My Tree Bnb" (working title) by Firechick Treffler from Düsseldorf 27,000 euros.
The maximum of €20,000 in concept funding will go to- "Fonce" (Cine-Litte Productions, Cologne) 20,000 euros - "Diver" (Oswinart, Bochum): 20,000 euros. - "Game: Jeppe's Secret Santa World" (Dully & Dax, Cologne): 20,000 euros. - "Potions of Fire" (Pixelpogo, Aachen): 18,000 euros - "My personal Shoah" (working title) (Fortis Fem Film, Cologne): 17,500 euros
