Kalypso Media Continues the Disciples Franchise
Following on from Disciples: Liberation (2021), Kalypso Media is continuing the franchise with Disciples: Domination. This dark fantasy strategy RPG is being developed in collaboration with Artefacts Studio in France.
Publisher Kalypso Media and development studio Artefacts Studio have announced Disciples: Domination, the next instalment in the dark fantasy strategy RPG series featuring turn-based combat. The game's story picks up fifteen years after the events of Disciples: Liberation, taking players back to the shattered realm of Nevendaar. Disciples: Domination is set to launch in 2026 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
The second part of the trilogy is being developed by Artefacts Studio, a French studio based in Lyon. The studio is best known for Dungeon of Naheulbeuk and Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master. Founded in 2003, the studio employs almost 80 people. Disciples: Liberation, on the other hand, was developed in collaboration with Frima Studio, based in Canada.
Kalypso Media: "Disciples: Domination refines the tactical, turn-based, grid-based combat system of Liberation, offering faster gameplay and expanded interaction options. The focus is on strategic depth: faction-specific abilities and dangerous synergies between units play a decisive role in the outcome of each battle."
