Beacon Patrol is a new cozy exploration game from Assemble Entertainment. It is a digital adaptation of the board game of the same name, developed by Shapes and Dreams as well as BrutalHack.

Assemble Entertainment has launched Beacon Patrol for PC, priced at €11.99. It is a relaxing tile-laying exploration game. Players take on the role of Coast Guard captains, navigating the North Sea coast to secure beacons, lighthouses and waterways. The game can be played in single-player mode or in co-op mode.

The game has been developed by Shapes and Dreams, as well as BrutalHack. Shapes and Dreams is the solo studio of Torben Ratzlaff, the designer and artist of the board game Beacon Patrol. The game was originally released in 2022 and later published by Pandasaurus Games. BrutalHack is the development label of Benjamin Justice. After meeting through the IndieTreff e.V. community, the pair began working on the digital adaptation of Beacon Patrol in October 2022. The result is a faithful yet enhanced version of the board game.

Assemble Entertainment: "Play solo, share the helm with friends locally, or set sail together online through Steam Remote Play Together. Choose from a variety of game modes: immerse yourself in the classic Board Game Mode, push your limits in Exploration Mode, or let your creativity run wild in Creative Mode. Along the way, you'll unlock new ships with distinctive abilities, fresh tiles, quirky seagull companions, and plenty more surprises to keep every voyage unique."
