IIDEA, the Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association, is the trade association representing the video game industry in Italy. Through Games in Italy, the association aims to provide a clear and accessible overview of the country’s video game ecosystem, highlighting the companies, studios and projects that contribute to its growth and international recognition.

The updated website, available at gamesinitaly.it, combines an interactive map of the Italian industry with a new database dedicated to Italian video games. The map offers a broad view of companies operating across the country, including developers, publishers and service providers, while the games database tracks and updates information on Italian titles listed on Steam.

This new database, created in collaboration with Francesco Liotta of Cinic Games, is closely connected to the Italian developer community. It currently includes more than 600 titles, covering both released games and upcoming projects, and offers an evolving snapshot of the creativity, variety and production capacity of Italian studios and independent developers.

Games in Italy is designed as a practical access point to the national industry. For international audiences, it offers a way to discover the people, companies and games shaping the Italian scene today. For Italian developers, it provides a shared space where their work can be presented as part of a wider ecosystem, strengthening the visibility of the industry as a whole.

The platform is also part of IIDEA’s broader internationalisation activities under the Games in Italy label, which supports the promotion of Italian games and companies at trade fairs, industry events, panels, showcases and international initiatives.

With its updated structure, Games in Italy becomes a single entry point for anyone who wants to explore the Italian video game industry, follow its latest productions and understand the role that Italian studios are playing in the global games market.
