SupportUkraine Charity Reception Collects 20,500 Euros for Gamedev Under Bombs

The charity auction SupportUkraine at gamescom week has brought in a record amount of 20,500 euros. Organiser Elena Lobova is elated about the results of the third annual reception. The funds go to game workers and volunteering initiatives at the Ukrainian frontline via Gamedev Under Bombs.

The SupportUkraine Charity Reception on the evening of gamescom Thursday 2024 has brought in great results. 20,500 euro have been bid at the auction, where donated games, signed memorabilia and more were on offer. Organiser Elena Lobova, Co-Founder and CBDO of GDBay, says it was the highest among donated through the auction since the conception of the first SupportUkraine Charity Reception after the start of the Russian invasion in 2022.

Lobova is elated about the results. “It has become a great tradition to bring together our industry friends and supporters of Ukraine at the annual networking reception and charity auction during gamescom. I'm delighted to see that the interest in this event and the generosity of our community is not declining over the years, but otherwise, increasing. This time we were able to gather the record amount of 20500 EUR for Gamedev Under Bombs and I’m immensely grateful for that!”, she comments in a statement to GamesMarkt.

All collected funds will go to Gamedev Under Bombs to support the games industry in Ukraine, fighters on the frontline and their volunteering initiatives.
