For the first time since the end of the pandemic, Bavaria will have its own stand in the business area of gamescom. The presence at the indie stands, which have been supported in recent years instead of the Games/Bavaria stand, will continue. The Digital Minister has also announced his attendance.

Before the pandemic, Bavaria's gamescom stand was one of the largest of the German states. After the coronavirus, however, Games/Bavaria has increasingly focused on supporting Bavarian indie teams at gamescom by allowing them to participate under the Games/Bavaria label at the two joint indie stands, the Indie Arena Booth and the Home of Indies Booth. In 2024, Bavaria will make both possible under the new Digital Minister Dr Fabian Mehring.

Games/Bavaria will be back in Hall 4.1 in the business area with a marquee-style stand. K5 Factory and, on a daily basis, Fiery Things, Salmi Games and Moondowner will be present as sub-exhibitors. The design of the stand is based on K5 Factory's Oktoberfest - The Official Game. A reception with gingerbread, pretzels and drinks will take place there on 22 August, and Digital Minister Dr Fabiar Mehring has also announced his attendance.

Despite the economic comeback, Bavaria continues to support indie teams at the Indie Arena Booths (IAB) and the Home of Indies Booths (HIB). Jumpy Bit, Christoph Minnameier, Irox Games, Zockrates Laboratories, Totally Not Aliens and Gentle Troll Entertainment will be exhibiting at the IAB. Active Fungus Studios, Saltium, Knothorn and Fiery Things will be at HIB.
