The Gaming ohne Grenzen (Gaming without Borders) Award will once again be presented on the trade visitor day at gamescom. Mobile operator congstar is on board as a partner, and the award ceremony will take place on their stand.

Inclusion is a major issue at gamescom, and not just in terms of stand design. The initiative Gaming ohne Grenzen (Gaming without Borders) is once again using the trade fair to raise awareness of the issue and will once again present the Gaming Ohne Grenzen Award on trade visitor day, 21 August.

The initiative has once again secured congstar as a partner for the award ceremony. The award ceremony will take place at the congstar stand. The awards themselves will be presented in five categories: National Award, International Award, Representation Award, Hardware & Technology Award and Personality Award. The winners will be selected by an interdisciplinary jury. The jury will be expanded for this year's event and the participants are yet to be announced.

"These two awards underline the importance of our work and are an important signal for accessibility and participation of people with disabilities in gaming. They show that we are on the right track to making a positive difference in the gaming community. We are very pleased to be able to realise the award together with congstar again this year," says Saskia Moes, employee of the Fachstelle für Jugendmedienkultur NRW and co-founder of Gaming ohne Grenzen.

Timo Wakulat, Senior Manager PR & Press Spokesperson at congstar, adds: "As a mobile phone brand with over six million customers, we are aware of our social responsibility. That's why we always try to put fairness first and are delighted that Gaming Ohne Grenzen is receiving even more attention and coverage thanks to the German Computer Game Award and the German Brand Award. With this year's award ceremony at gamescom, we are once again sending an important signal for accessibility in gaming and the participation of people with disabilities.
