Five weeks before the start, the first highlight of gamescom Opening Night Live has already been confirmed: hosts Geoff Keighley and co-host Sjokz will take to the stage in front of 5,000 spectators in Hall 1 to present Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 for the first time.

It's an unusual announcement for the traditional press conference ahead of gamescom: Koelnmesse and game have not only presented various topics, facts and trends for gamescom, but also revealed a highlight of gamescom Opening Night Live.

This year, the grand opening show will take place in Hall 1 for the first time, where the gamescom event arena will also be located in the following days. 5,000 fans will watch the show live on site, hosted by Geoff Keighley. Sjokz will once again be at his side as co-host.

The two will present around two hours of new releases, from triple-A to indie. An internationally anticipated world premiere is Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, as confirmed today at the German press conference for gamescom. Numerous other world premieres are expected. gamescom Opening Night Live is one of the pillars of gamescom's digital strategy. According to the organisers, ONL 2024 reached over 44 million people. In total, gamescom 2024 achieved 547 million views across all digital channels.
