The third edition of Caggtus in Leipzig, which took place this weekend, attracted 19,700 visitors – a new record! The organisers are “highly satisfied” and have already announced the date for 2026.

With 2,100 participants, the LAN party hall was almost sold out—once again making Caggtus the largest LAN party in the German-speaking world. At the same time, the Caggtus LAN remains one of the festival’s core pillars. Constantin Strobel, project director of Caggtus Leipzig, was understandably pleased: "The LAN regularly gives us goosebumps. Whether it’s the start of admission, switching off the ceiling lights, or the big and small encounters with the community – these moments are what make the gaming festival so special."

But the 3rd Caggtus in Leipzig was a complete success in other respects as well. The organisers from Leipziger Messe counted a total of 19,700 visitors—14 percent more than last year, marking a new record. A total of 113 participating companies and organisers presented new games and hardware or hosted shows for visitors. Over 500 content creators extended the festival into the digital realm, further boosting its reach. Data on digital reach is typically published with a time lag.

"Our Caggtus is constantly evolving – we are highly satisfied with the third edition of the gaming festival and were able to record a noticeable increase in visitors," explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "The enthusiasm was tangible in every corner of the halls; the happy faces of visitors and our exhibitors spoke volumes. Once again, it has been shown: gaming is at home in Leipzig."

In light of this positive development, it comes as no surprise that planning for next year is already underway. Leipziger Messe has also set the date: Caggtus Leipzig will take place from 17 to 19 April 2026.
