Third Games Made in Germany Steam Sale Starts on 20 June 2024
The Games Made in Germany Steam sale by Games Germany is entering its third round. After two successful years, the 2024 Steam event will kick off on 20 June at 19:00 CEST, accompanied by a showcase event on Steam and IGN's YouTube channel. More than 250 games developed in Germany will take part in the event.
From 20 to 27 June, more than 250 games developed in Germany will be featured on Steam under the event title "Games Baked in Germany". Among them are well-known games and studios that have won awards such as the German Computer Game Award and the German Developer Award. The sale will kick off on 20 June at 19:00 CEST with a showcase event on Steam and IGN's YouTube channel. Highlights of the showcase will include announcements, releases, updates and new gameplay trailers for games developed in Germany.
By participating in the Steam Showcase, developers can expand the international reach of their games and increase brand awareness. According to Valve, Steam reaches over 69 million active users per day.
In collaboration with the Cologne-based label Black Screen Records and numerous studios and publishers, a vinyl record is available for the first time to mark the Steam sale: Vinyl Tunes of Games Baked in Germany 2024. The record features tracks from games such as Chained Echoes, Songs of Silence, Endzone 2, Harold Halibut, Pioneers of Pagonia, Atlas Fallen and Enshrouded.
Games Germany - Regional Funds and Networks is a collaboration of funding and networking institutions from different parts of Germany. These include FFF Bayern, Film und Medienstiftung NRW, gamearea-FRM (Hessen), Gamecity Hamburg, Games/Bavaria, games:net berlinbrandenburg, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, MFG Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, nordmedia - Film- und Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen/Bremen and WERK1.Bayern. The aim of Games Germany is to showcase the wide range of German games worldwide and to support German studios in the distribution of their titles.
