The GermanDevDays Indie Award will take place for the sixth time and, as in previous years, will offer a total of €10,000 in prize money in various categories. Submissions can be made from now until the end of March.

Entries for the GDD Indie Award 2025 must be submitted by the developer (company, studio, team or individual), not by a third party or other company. Only developers from Germany are eligible to enter. The award ceremony will take place on 9 July at 18:00 during the GDD GermanDevDays in Frankfurt.

The categories are: - Best Beaver Poop (Worst Game) - endowed with €100 (donated to charity) - Best Prototype - endowed with €1,000 - Best Appearance (graphics, animation, etc.) - endowed with €1,500 - Best Sound (music, sound, voice output) - endowed with €1,500 - Best Story (Story) - endowed with €1,500 - Best Game Mechanics (game design) - endowed with €1,500 - Best Game - endowed with €3,000
