Following the departure of Head of Digital Games Michaela Haberlander, the FFF Bayern has strengthened its games funding department with the appointment of Thorsten Suckow. The overall lead of funding department has also been reorganised since September: Lawyer Martin Hartung joins Judith Erber as co-head.

The FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, which coordinates production funding for games in south-eastern Bavaria, is strengthening its games funding department with a new appointment and reorganising the administration of both the games funding division and the entire funding department.

Thorsten Suckow, previously Head of Mobile & Games at United Soft Media, has joined the Games Funding department. The historian and media technician will join Joannis Xenakis, currently Head of Games Promotion, on 1 January 2024. This will see a slight reorganisation of the Games Department following the departure of Michaela Haberlander as Head of Department. The two officers will now jointly oversee production, prototyping and concept development.

There has also been a change in the management of the funding department since September 2023. Martin Hartung has joined Judith Erber as co-head of the entire Funding Department. In addition to co-heading the department, Erber will continue to be responsible for the areas of cinema film production with a budget of 3 million euros or more, international cinema films, distribution and sales as well as the Bavarian Banking Fund (BBF).
