A total of over 40 indie games were presented at the Secret Sauce Showcase 2025. Two of these were Aethermancer by Moi Rai Games from Hamburg and Alabaster Dawn by Radical Fish Games from Saarbrücken.

Two projects from German studios were featured at Offbrand Games' Secret Sauce Showcase 2025. Saarbrücken-based Radical Fish Games, best known for their retro-inspired 2D action RPG CrossCode, presented Alabaster Dawn, which opened the showcase. A demo of this top-down, 2.5D action RPG will be released on Steam in September 2025. The game, which has the working title 'Project Terra', received €764,434 in funding from the German Federal Government's computer games funding programme (period: 15 February 2022 to 14 August 2025). The game is expected to be self-published by Radical Fish Games. Deck13 Spotlight was involved in publishing CrossCode.

Radical Fish Games: "Alabaster Dawn is an Action RPG building on top of the best aspects of Radical Fish Games' previous title CrossCode, featuring a deep and engaging combat system, challenging puzzles and an epic story set in a curious world full of secrets to discover and places to explore."

Hamburg-based Moi Rai Games presented Aethermancer, their second game after Monster Sanctuary. Aethermancer combines monster taming with roguelite elements (demo). It allows players to play an active role in combat alongside their monsters. It will be released on PC and Switch. For this game, Moi Rai is collaborating with offbrand games, a creator-led indie publisher based in the USA.

"You are the Aethermancer, a skilled warrior with the ability to recruit and tame mythic creatures. Use your powers (and your furry friends) to win strategic turn-based battles, defy death, and escape the fractured ruins," said the developers. Players must plan ahead to win turn-based 3v3 battles in a procedurally generated world. Each monster has upgradable elemental abilities. Monsters and player characters grow stronger with each new life.
