28th Annual DICE Awards Finalists With One Nominee From Germany

The nominees for the 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards have been announced. A total of 60 games from the year 2024 have been selected. Among them is a game from Germany.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) has announced the nominees for its 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Helldivers 2 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are in the running for Game of the Year.

Astro Bot, Helldivers 2 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle have been nominated in six categories each, followed by Balatro and Senua's Saga: Hellblade II with five nominations each. 1000xResist, Animal Well and Batman: Arkham Shadow each received four nominations. The finalists were selected by a panel of peers (list). AIAS members can now vote for the winners.

A game from Germany has also been nominated. This is Halls of Torment by Chasing Carrots from Stuttgart. The game is up for Mobile Game of the Year. In the Outstanding Achievement in Character category, Senua from Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is nominated. The character, written by Lara Derham, is played by German-born Melina Juergens.

The winners will be revealed at the 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards Ceremony at the D.I.C.E. Summit 2025. The ceremony will be streamed live by IGN from the Aria Resort in Las Vegas on Thursday 13 February at 8pm PT / Friday 14 February at 5am CET. The show is hosted by Greg Miller and Stella Chung.
