Jean Guédon is Assassin's Creed's New Head of Content
Ubisoft has revealed series veteran Jean Guédon as Assassin's Creed new Head of Content. He starts off strong: With making Black Flag Resynced official, patching Unity up for current consoles and talking about Hexe, Invictus and the last phase of Shadows' support cycle.
In a state of Assassin’s Creed blog post, Ubisoft has announced Jean Guédon as the new Head of Content for the series. Guédon has worked on most Assassin’s Creed titles since the first one.
In his new role, Guédon says transparency about the next steps for the franchise are his key priority, and he is starting out with several announcements and updates.
First off, Assassin’s Creed Unity, the famously unoptimised first series title from the PS4 and Xbox One generation, will receive a 60fps patch for current consoles, dropping today.
There will be an Ubisoft livestream on 20 March at 18:00 CET on the Twitch channel that, from the wording, will likely revolve around the one year mark of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. According to the post, Shadows is now entering into it’s “final support phase” with smaller updates and fixes.
The blog also confirms that the singleplayer Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe and the PvP multiplayer offshoot Codename Invictus are still in development. The live-action series for Netflix is also mentioned.
Finally, Guédon clears up with rumours about a Black Flag remake: By showing the key art and title of the game and therefore confirming it. The remake will be called Black Flag Resynced. Nothing else has been revealed so far.
