Fans von Eisenbahnsimulationen sind treue Käufer. Die Erweiterungspakete der bekannten Marken verkaufen sich konstant gut. Gemeinsam mit Kuju Entertainment will nun Electronic Arts auf den Zug aufspringen. Das britische Entwicklerstudio (u. a. Microsoft Train Simulator") wird die Eisenbahnsimulation "Rail Simulator" (Arbeitstitel) für den Major produzieren. Mit Diesel-, Dampf- und E-Loks können Strecken in Deutschland und Großbritannien befahren werden. Die Partner sind davon überzeugt, durch die Marketingpower von EA dem Thema Zugang zum Massenmarkt verschaffen zu können.
